Federal Member for Farrer

Deniliquin Pastoral Times - - NEWS -

My thanks to Brad Todd from the Deni Rhinos for showing off the District Cricket Association’s new balcony extension at Memorial Park.

The $26,000 renovation was partly funded through my Stronger Communities Fund and is just one of a number of improvements planned for the Showgrounds oval.

The first four rounds of this grant program has helped build or develop over 50 community projects across Farrer - further details are at www.business.gov.au/scp.

Can I again encourage any local post-secondary students interested in pursuing a science, technology, engineering or mathematics course in 2019, to investigate one of our governmentfunded scholarships.

Up to $18,000 is available to help with study costs, with new guidelines also making it easier for any drought-affected family to apply, including those accessing the Farm Household Allowance.

Applications close on 1st February, with more details available through my office.
