■ ‘Brain bags 14’ - Blighty su­per­boot Jed Brain showed his star qual­ity with 14 goals in a 123-point win against Mathoura.

■ - Two of the Pi­cola Dis­trict League’s North West ri­vals and fi­nals con­tenders - Pi­cola United and Blighty - met in a ‘match of the day’ con­test.

■ Blighty pro­duced a Pi­cola Dis­trict Foot­ball League up­set when they smashed the pre­vi­ously un­de­feated Pi­cola United.

■ Ro­tary Park was bustling with more than 270 soc­cer player tak­ing to the field.

■ The Deni Drovers took cen­tre stage when they hosted Wagga Waratahs for a 2017 grand fi­nal re­match played at Ro­tary Park.

Ma­cie Free broke the 14 year girls’ 100m and 200m records.

■ - ‘Bones to play 400th’ - Liam Fleming, one of Deni Rovers’ most loyal ser­vants, cel­e­brated his 400th game.

■ - Deni Rams wing­man, Sam Wil­loughby played in the Mur­ray Foot­ball League Un­der 18s side, claim­ing the best on ground medal.

■ ‘Bond reaches game 300’ - Deni Rovers mid­fielder Al­lan Bond played his 300th club game.

■ ‘First win for Charl­ton bros’ - Brothers Luke and Blake Charl­ton both picked up their first am­a­teur box­ing win at an event in Wodonga, rep­re­sent­ing the Golden Rivers RSL Box­ing Club.

■ ‘Giant op­por­tu­nity’ Deni Rovers speedster David Smith played along­side some of the AFL’s elite play­ers when he lined up for the GWS re­serves in the Gi­ants’ North East Aus­tralian Foot­ball League round six clash against the Syd­ney Swans.

■ Deni de­fender John An­stee lined up as the only Rams rep­re­sen­ta­tive for Mur­ray Foot­ball League in their in­ter­league clash against the Gipp­s­land Foot­ball League at Moe.
