Redeyes U17s beat Dees

Blighty’s Un­der 17s scored their first win of the Pi­cola & Dis­trict League sea­son when host­ing Jer­ilderie for round three on Satur­day.

In what was a good game to watch de­spite the weather, the Redeyes came out in full force.

Shelby-Lea His­lop did an amaz­ing job in GK, dom­i­nat­ing her player at all times.

Tay­lor Wilkin­son and Bri­die Blake worked well shoot­ing to­gether in the ring.

Blighty’s mid­court play­ers cre­ated turnovers and en­sured the play went smoothly.

The Redeyes play­ers worked to­gether beau­ti­fully in a much needed 17 goal win. Fi­nal score, Blighty 48 to Jer­ilderie 31. Awards: Holly Amor and Shelby-Lea His­lop.

Blighty’s Un­der 15s made it back to back win in an im­pres­sive dis­play of team work in a wet and cold game.

The Redeyes tri­alled mov­ing around po­si­tions and the play­ers ad­justed well, striv­ing in the op­por­tu­nity to show off their strengths.

Blighty ran out 13 goal vic­tors in a low scor­ing af­fair.

Fi­nal score, Blighty 25 to Jer­ilderie 12.



The Un­der 13s played their best game of the sea­son de­spite go­ing down by six goals.

The Redeyes made a chal­leng­ing con­di­tions.

Sa­mara Wat­son and Ruby Pisas­ale com­bined well in the goal cir­cle, and Dakota McKen­zie con­trolled the play through the mid­court.

Gemma Macdonald also con­tin­ued her good form and was ex­cel­lent in de­fence. Fi­nal score, Jer­ilderie 14 to Blighty 8. Awards: Sa­mara Wat­son, Dakota McKen­zie and Ruby Pisas­ale.

The Un­der 11s saw all of the youngest Redeyes play­ing ex­tremely well in their first wet game.

Catie Michael did a fan­tas­tic de­fence and also shoot­ing.

Milly Han­mer dom­i­nated in all po­si­tions on the court.

Each week the girls are find­ing strengths and giv­ing it their all.
