Blighty netball report:

A Grade: Picola 67 def Blighty 30. Another tough game against a strong team. The Blighty girls really pushed hard and fought to the end despite many players having already played a full game in different grades. The willingness of players to play more than one game is awesome and shows such dedication and hope for more success in years to come.

Awards: Taylor Wilkinson, Isabelle McIlwain, Montana Jones and Bridie Blake.

B Grade: Picola 51 def Blighty 15. With a relatively new team hitting the courts, as we had a number of juniors playing up, we all pooled together giving it our best. Our defence remained strong down the court, creating many turnovers. Our girls played hard all game but Picola was just too good on the day.

C Grade: Picola 57 def Blighty 6. For two teams put together, we played a very great game. C and C reserve pulled together to play a strong team and came out fighting til the end.

Awards: Meg Erickson, Lou Hamner, Melina Tidcombe and Stacey Doolan.

C Reserve: No game.

Under 17s: Picola 22 lt Blighty 52. After a sluggish start the team executed their roles in a more determined and measured manner after half time. Our defenders were outstanding and Holly continued her relentless pressure in the mid court.

Awards: Charlotte Strong, Hannah Hetherington, Nicola Stanworth

and Holly Amor.

Under 15s: Picola 12 lt Blighty 39. A fantastic win with challenging rings. Defenders moved the ball quickly out of their end and down to convert to score.

Awards: Erica Nicholls, Ruby Caruso and Gemma MacDonald. Under 13s: Picola 11 lt Blighty 15. The first quarter set us up for a good day with Sammy and Holly playing well together in goals and Ash and Izzy Pearn in defence.

Awards: Ash Charlton, Sammy Watson and Holly Allitt.

Under 11s: Not scored.

The under 11s again got to enjoy Minis Day; thanks to Picola for hosting! Was such a fun day, with lots of goodies. Everyone worked hard to maintain the flow of play, focusing on passing and positioning.

Awards: Ella Charlton, Hollie Armytage and Kyah Watson.
