Batteries for fish release

- ~ Ian ‘China’ Gibson

The Moulamein Men’s Shed is on the job again, and about to do its battery run.

Batteries can be collected by a member of the group, subject to COVID restrictions. Call Sutto on 0447 541 200, or for town pick up call Allen on 0422 907090.

The Moulamein Men’s Shed use the money earned from recycling the batteries to restock the local rivers with fingerlings.

Not just the Edward, but the Wakool, Niemur as well as the mighty Billabong.

The town lake may also benefit from the fingerling program.

If you live on any of these rivers, you will do well out of this restocking.

To turn lead into fish is almost better than Jesus did back in the day when he fed the multitudes with bread and fish.
