Woman loses licence following crash

A 39 year-old Deniliquin woman has been charged with alleged drink driving and has had her licence suspended following a crash in Deniliquin’s west early Tuesday.

Police allege the woman was behind the wheel of a four wheel drive when it mounted the kerb at the corner of Russell and Henry St about 1am, and collided with a tree on the nature strip of a home.

The woman was subsequent­ly breath tested, and a blood alcohol reading of 0.129 was later recorded at Deniliquin Police Station.

She was charged with mid-range prescribed content of alcohol, and her licence suspended on the spot.

She is expected to appear November.
