No market, but big raffle is going ahead

All roads were meant to lead to Pretty Pine this weekend, for the 15th annual Pretty Pine Father’s Day Market.

While the event itself has been cancelled because of COVID-19 lockdown and ongoing restrictions, its famous big raffle is still going ahead as planned.

With a total prize pool of more than $2500, there are three amazing prizes to be won.

First prize is a ‘one-off’ 10 piece Katana 18 volt toolkit, valued at $1405 and donated by Agspares Deniliquin.

Second prize is a $799 38L Engel prize pack, donated by Nutrien Deniliquin.

Third prize, valued at $339, is a Weber Baby Q Premium from Mitre 10 Deniliquin.

‘‘Don’t miss this chance to win one of three amazing prizes, thanks to our amazing sponsors,’’ market committee member Ben Chartres said.

‘‘There’s no excuse as you can now buy your ticket online.

‘‘Otherwise, you can pop in to the Pretty Pine Pub and say hello, and grab yourself one in person there.’’

Mr Chartres said while the

committee would have preferred to host their event in full for the regional community, continuing with the raffle was the next best thing.

‘‘The funds raised this year will go towards the cost of our fantastic new tennis courts at the Pretty Pine Recreation Grounds, which have recently been installed and made possible through the support from Edward River Council.

‘‘We'd like to say a big thank you to Denise and Mark at the Pretty Pine Hotel, and to the local businesses who very generously provide raffle prizes and contributions each year.

‘‘We appreciate your support very much.’’

The raffle will be drawn on Sunday. Winners will be notified via phone and social media.
