Deniliquin Pastoral Times
The NSW Australian Football Society has bestowed Deniliquin’s own Todd Marshall the honour of being selected in its honorary 2021 State of Origin side.
The 198cm key forward is the only Port Adelaide player to have been selected in the honorary side, made up of AFL footballers originally from NSW.
Also in the line-up is Finley’s Tom Hawkins, who captains the side, and is also the inaugural winner of the Mohr Medal for goalkicking (54 goals).
Marshall gets the chance to rest this weekend, ahead of a September 11 preliminary final. They will play the winner of Saturday’s match between Brisbane Lions and the Western Bulldogs.
