Books come to life

-

There was extra reason to celebrate at Deniliquin Christian School this week.

Not only were students and teachers allowed to go back to the classroom for the final week of Term 3, the delayed Book Week celebrations could also take place.

The week — which encourages children to delve in to literature — was meant to be held from August 21 to 27, when schools were operating in a lower capacity because of NSW lockdown rules.

Students and teachers alike donned various costumes representing their favourite literary characters on Wednesday.
