School’s windows broken


Deniliquin Police are investigat­ing malicious damage at Edward Public School in west Deniliquin which occurred over two nights earlier this week.

A smashed classroom window was reported to police on Tuesday morning.

A smashed glass door to another classroom was reported Wednesday morning, along with a window that was shattered but not broken.

Police believe chunks of bitumen were thrown to cause the damage.

Bike missing

Police are investigat­ing after a bicycle was reported missing from a home on Henry St, west Deniliquin.

The owner noticed their garage door open about 8.30am Tuesday, and on inspection, noticed the Giant brand mountain bike was gone.

The bike was last seen at the home about 5pm on October 18.

AVO breach

A 38 year-old local man has been charged with breaching an apprehende­d violence order.

It is alleged the man accompanie­d his partner to Blighty on October 13, as part of a custody handover between the woman and her former partner.

Police said an AVO is in place which restricts the man’s contact with the father of the children.

Woman cautioned

A 20 year-old Deniliquin woman has received a cannabis caution after allegedly being found in possession of a small amount of the drug.

Police said the woman was a rear seat passenger in a car stopped on Davidson St, Deniliquin about 4.30pm on October 13. During a search, police allege to have found cannabis inside a handbag on the back seat.
