Howard marks a big milestone
Deniliquin Rovers stalwart Scott Howard was presented with a commemorative jacket at the weekend, in celebration of his 300th club game.
While he actually reached the milestone last season, COVID-19 interruptions prevented the club from celebrating.
With the Rovers hosting Katunga for round one of the Picola and District League season on Saturday, it was the perfect opportunity to honour the milestone.
The presentation was made at a club barbecue at Memorial Park after the seniors game, in celebrations of the opening round.

First graduate
Shania Bentley has become the first graduate of the Deniliquin Netball Association's inaugural Umpire Mentor program.
The finley local was coached by DNA's Abbie Thomas, Zena Wahanui, Andy Lostroh, and Joy Spence.
“Shania travels each week from Finley. While her umpiring career started some time ago, her ability to be badged was hampered through COVID,” a DNA spokesperson said.
A crafty win
Pavilion entrants in the Deniliquin Show were judged at the weekend's NDAS Northern District Regional Finals.
The event was hosted by Swan Hill Show and saw Deniliquin's Linda Maher selected for first prize, confirming her spot in the upcoming Melbourne competition.
