Visitors know to expect world class country hospitalit­y and modern facilities when visiting Berrigan Community Golf and Bowling Club.

Well known for its renowned and wellkept 18-hole golf course, fully equipped Chinese restaurant, and sprawling bowling greens, Berrigan Community Golf and Bowling Club offers something for everyone.

Staples of the club calendar include the Outback mixed golf tournament, played over the NSW Labour Day Weekend each October, and four annual barefoot bowls tournament­s being held Saturday, April 9 this year.

Casual players are welcome, and encouraged, to book one of the clubs 13 rink grass greens for social events, family get togethers or casual competitio­n, with in-house catering available upon request.

Players looking for an off-course pick me up are treated to weekly lunch specials from Wednesday through Friday and dinner from Wednesday through Sunday.

While the club is open five days a week, time poor players can enjoy full weeklong access to the greens, with no booking time required.

‘‘It’s a fantastic opportunit­y for visitors to rest and try out the greens,’’ said club secretary manager Janice Graham.

‘‘We really do offer an all inclusive experience for both locals and visitors alike.’’

The community club is also behind one of Berrigan’s biggest events: the annual Show ‘n’ Shine, which was attended by a crowd of 2000 early this year.

‘‘It was a massive success, but we don’t just host our own events,’’ said Graham.

‘‘Community groups are welcome to get in touch with their ideas for events and venue hire, we recently hosted Finley Regional Care’s successful cup day fundraiser.’’
