Mary grabs a gift for Mother’s Day

There were 15 playing prior to Mother’s Day lunches on Sunday.

Mary James was the winner of the three game group, with Andy Davis second and Darren McLoughlin third on a countback.

The two game achievers included John James, Brad Fawns, Tony Bull, Terry Murphy and Leo Barry.

There was no hoop in one shot or jump shots scored on the day.

Sixteen members participat­ed in play on Wednesday.

John James was the outright winner in a countback from Trevor David, second in a tie with Alan Higgins.

The two game achievers included Peter Whittakers, Leo Barry, Darren McLoughlin, David Conallin and Bobby Murphy.

There were seven jump shots, including Darren McLoughlin and John James with three each, and Bobby Murphy with one.

The lone hoop in one shot was achieved

by David Conallin, a visitor to the club.

Winter croquet times will change from this Sunday.

Sunday and Wednesday play will now be 9.30am for a 10am start.
