Across the board win for Rams

-

The battle was on between the league ladder leaders and it was going to take a full court effort to get the job done for the Rams.

From the first whistle, the intensity was there and it was Nathalia who had a run of goals in the first quarter giving them a four-goal lead at half time.

Part-way through the second term saw a shift in momentum.

The rams settled into their game and were able to lift each other, enjoying an eight goal turn around by half time. The sleek, physical full court effort continued in the second half, with the Rams coming away with a solid 21 goal win.

Rhiannan Maxwell was a tower of strength in the ring and had total control of the attacking end, with accurate shooting in a physical contest.

Rach Bull was her influential best and had the edge in defence with numerous turnovers and hands to many balls. Bec White was strong and the perfect feeder, but also nailed her goals.

In a game where every player deserved an award, it was a hugely satisfying win for the rams who will now enjoy a week off the court due to the split round.

The girls upped their intensity in both their attacking and defensive play and continued this throughout the rest of the game, to gradually increase the score difference at each break.

With the fourth quarter proving to be their best, the defensive pressure kept the Nathalia goals to a low, while the strong attacking enabled Rams to increase their lead eventually taking a 14-goal win.
