The latest new camera kit

Hähnel has replaced its Combi TF and Giga T Pro II flash trigger and remote release systems with the Captur. The primary module comprises a transmitter and receiver so you can trigger a camera or fire a flash remotely. The Pro Module (£69.99) adds motion, light and sound detection to the package, plus there’s an auxillary port for connecting third-party pressure plates and the like. Meanwhile the Timer Module (£49.99) adds the full intervalometer functions previously offered by the Giga T Pro II. There’s also an IR Module which can detect a continuous beam of Infra Red light from the transmitter and trip the camera shutter if it’s broken.

An affordable and versatile remote system.

I hope the interface is less fiddly than the Giga T Pro’s.
