2 “Shot in the Rocky Mountain National Park, Colorado, in the middle of October. The first highelevation snowfall, or termination dust, left a soft blanket of white on Longs Peak. A temperature inversion kept a blanket of clouds in the valleys.

“The scene was incredible on its own – but to my surprise, just as I started shooting, an elk and his harem crested a ridge.
