Basic camera settings Using studio flash you need to set your camera to Manual exposure mode. Set the ISO to 100, the shutter speed to the maximum flash sync speed available on your camera, which is usually between 1/125 and 1/250 sec, and the aperture to f/8. Finally set the white balance to Flash (or Daylight).
