The flash is controlled by a fairly bulky commander that resembles a blanked-off conventional flashgun. Build quality is good, but the plastic hotshoe mount is a disappointment. The controls and unintuitive display also take some getting used to.

The EM-140 isn’t short on features either, packing independent flash tubes, modelling lamps, wireless TTL flash control and more.

A capable performer with plenty of control options.

The sigma produces great results, but falls short on value.
