When automatic selection goes wr ong
Autofocus systems will typically focus on the subject that’s nearest to the camera. This can cause the AF system to shift the focus to the wrong part of the image if the main subject becomes obscured in some way.
You may be able to adjust the AF system’s sensitivity so that it’s less likely to flit around. Using ‘back button’ focusing’ on a compatible camera can enable you to temporarily deactivate the focusing too.
