Working with the summer sun

Landscape photography on a scorching summer day? It’s all part of the Shootout challenge! Viewing a camera’s rear screen in bright sunlight can be tricky in this type of situation, so we opted to manually increase the screen to its brightest setting. Having square filters in place meant ditching the lens hood, so we had to be prepared to shield the front of the lens with hands or hats held out of the frame.
