Run your title as a shadow

-

To give your picture’s title a different, but equally elegant look, here’s a neat trick that uses a shadow of the your text. Click on the title layer to make it active, then move the Fill slider (beneath Opacity) all the way to the left to a setting of zero. The text itself will disappear. Now doubleclick to the right of the layer’s name to bring up the Layer Styles dialog. On the left, click on Drop Shadow and ensure the box is ticked. Set the Angle to 135 degrees, and the Distance, Spread and Size boxes to 10, 10 and 5 respectively. The shadow will define your text. If you want to change the colour of the shadow, click on the swatch box and select the colour you want. To make the effect more or less subtle, adjust the Opacity slider.
