Discover DxO PhotoLab

DxO PhotoLab is the new name for Optics Pro – but it’s not just the name that’s changed: discover the major new tools

DxO PhotoLab offers the same excellent raw conversions and optical corrections as Optics Pro, but adds important new localised adjustment tools. These include a Gradient Mask tool, an Auto Mask brush and a regular Brush tool.

There’s also a Control Point tool that creates its own mask automatically. If you’ve ever used Nik plug-ins such as Silver Efex Pro or Analog Efex Pro, you’ll be familiar with Control Points already. DxO acquired the Nik Collection from Google last October, and this is the first use of the Nik software technologies. It means PhotoLab can now act as a complete end-to-end photo editing workflow tool.

Also new in DxO PhotoLab is a much improved lens sharpness tool that gives a far better blend of noise and sharpness in medium-ISO images, and a new repair tool for the simple removal of unwanted spots, defects and objects.

Like its predecessor, DxO PhotoLab is available in both Essential and Elite editions. It also integrates with DxO’s ViewPoint perspective correction application and its FilmPack film simulation tool, available separately.
