Resolution

The amount of sharpening you need varies with the resolution of your image. To check the resolution, press Cmd/Ctrl+Alt+I. In particular, the Radius setting behaves differently with low- and high-res photos, as it controls the distance from edges in which the sharpening occurs. Higher-resolution images typically require a higher Radius value than low-res photos.
