Set Shadows and Highlights

Click the Basic tab to go back to the main settings – it’s the first tab, with an aperture icon. After applying the contrast, the shadows and highlights have darkened and brightened respectively, so use the Shadows and Highlights sliders to bring back some detail and soften the bright-but-not-burned-out highlights. For this image, drag Highlights left to -31 and Shadows right to +60.
