Flash modifiers

A bare flash head will be no good in these situations: you won’t be able to stop light spilling on to the background. It will also produce a very harsh light. For our shot, we used a Westcott Rapid Box 10 x 24in strip softbox. The vertical shape is ideal for portraits, and the narrow reflector makes it much easier to control light spill and illuminate just the areas you want.
