“Having permission to shoot somewhere like Wrest Park not only enables me to offer a beautiful location to my clients for their session,” says Catherine, “but also means they can enjoy a lovely day out.”

Wrest Park is owned by English Heritage, but Catherine has exclusive, authorised access to capture images within its beautiful grounds. “Find out what additional costs may be involved and factor these in,” she says. “I pay an agreed location fee, which covers my clients’ entrance and permission to shoot in the grounds. This is something I pass on to my clients if they choose to have their session there. Different venues will have different rules, so find out in advance.”
