There’s a beautiful range of tones in this monochrome photograph. Both the shadows and highlights have been rendered well; it’s a great example of the way blackand-white images can allow picture composition and light and shade to come to the forefront of the image-making process.

3rd Ivan Tsupka

A strong fashion image that makes great use of that little pop of red in the model’s shoes and lipstick. The industrial turquoise and teal colours and lines work in perfect harmony with the warmer natural colours and patterns of the animal print. This was a challenging image to make work due to all the lines, both vertical and horizontal, but it’s been executed with everything in perfect alignment.
