Be prepared

Arrive at your location before the sunrise begins. We had our composition set up 30 minutes before the sun had even risen. On the day of our shoot, it started quite bleak and didn’t improve until 20 minutes after the sunrise, so perseverance can pay off. It helps to shoot a location you are familiar with: we’d already framed the shot a few days earlier.
