Like a lot of photographers, Jack Hopkins is moved by the place that he grew up in. “I take many of my photographs on the coastline of Cornwall, and have always been inspired by what it has to offer,” he says.

His calming image ‘Pink Sands’ just shows that there are always new ways of looking at locations that are familiar to you. It was taken from the air using a drone on the beaches of Hayle.

“I feel this photograph truly represents the Cornish lifestyle,” says Jack. “The fact that the composition only has one surfer in it shows the contrast between Cornwall’s packed beaches in the summer and the quiet and peace us locals get to enjoy during the winter months.” www.jackhphoto.co.uk www.digitalcameraworld.com
