Based in London at present, I am often to be found travelling in distant locations, as I seek to visit and capture the world’s most striking landscapes and environments. I am an award-winning landscape photographer from France, with a style that is both sober and minimalist.

I use a long-exposure shutter technique. I freeze the time for a couple of seconds and frame its emotions at this precise moment. I read the beauty and the simplicity of the place, and re-transcribe it to us. My composition reveals a game of texture, material and a new geometry – lines that you can’t expect. The long-exposure technique offers a large and novel playground for creativity.

My post-production work allows me to fine-tune or perfect the reality that I feel when I’m on the spot. I accentuate the lines, sober up the elements, and profile the angles to transmit a beauty and a emotion that’s more attentiongrabbing. The power of my work lies in its ability to pinpoint the magical scenery of far-off and far-out settings – the magic that exists all around us.

Lofoten

On a few occasions I have set my sights upon the Lofoten region of Norway, one of Europe’s unknown gems. The result is a series of minimalist landscape photography. The combination of snow, untouched lands, beaches, beautifully coloured local buildings, dark chiselled mountains, blue water and unique light make it poetic and peaceful.

Emotion

I frame the emotions of the moment with a style that is deeply personal. My work tries to captivate by making the real feel surreal. I try to transport people to the purest essence of beauty and emotion. In the mind, somewhere between reality and fiction, is where magic exists. I hope my photographs take people there.

Post-production

My work captivates in its combination of the surreal and the new. With a personal post-production style, I can further fine-tune and perfect each interpreted reflection of realism. By so doing, I transport my spectator to the purest essence of beauty and emotion. In a limbo between reality and fiction, magic exists.

Travel

Through deft calibration of the shutter release, it is possible to gain insights into different dimensions. I explore each new artistic location at length, training my senses to grasp its innate spirit. To frame the character of a place, it is vital to keep an open mind. My wish is not only to share in the experience of the world, but to travel the world to share my vision.

Planning

The planning of each new location that I photograph requires a thorough search to make sure that all the elements (such as the tides, sun and wind ) are just right for the result I am planning to achieve. There are always some surprises along the way once on site, but this is part of the adventure that goes with this activity, which I find positively challenging.
