The humble snail isn’t the most obvious photo subject, but you can bring out its textures and details with a little modelling provided by off-camera flash. On a damp, warm evening or morning, hunt around the low-lying leaves to find a subject that’s on the move. While snails may move relatively slowly, you still want to have Continuous AF set for best results.
