PRO TECHNIQUE USE A POLARISER
Although image-editing software can emulate a lot of optical filter effects, one filter that still has stand-out ability is the polariser. It’ll suppress reflections in water or glass, darken blue skies, and cut through stray light in a scene to intensify colours and boost clarity.
It’s in this latter capacity that a polariser is often most useful: although it may rob you of a few stops of light when turned to its maximum setting, the benefits of the colour fidelity and enhanced definition outweigh the costs of carrying a tripod.
