Alistair Campbell enhances skin tones within Capture One

Sometimes portrait skin tones can be almost perfect right out the camera. Other times you may be on a shoot with various light sources or difficult lighting conditions that make the skin appear discoloured or murky.

Although there are no hard and fast rules to skin retouching, Capture One offers three simple solutions: Luma in the Curve Panel, Basic & Advanced in the Colour Editor, and the option we’ll use here: Skin Tone, also in the Colour Editor.
