CAPTURE CITIES AT NIGHT

Cities look so different – and offer a whole new range of photographic potential – at night and in the early hours of the morning, when streets are quieter and emptier of people and traffic. Use a tripod and a remote shutter release when possible to avoid camera shake. Experiment with shutter speeds: short shutter speeds give clean, sharp photos, while opening up the camera for a second or perhaps a few seconds can produce colourful trails of light from moving traffic.
