Three new compact Sony E-mount primes
New small and light trio for Alpha full-frame mirrorless
Sony’s lens labs have been busy of late, with three compact and affordable primes joining the line-up in the wake of the FE 50mm f/1.2 G Master (review next issue).
But whereas this is a bulky and expensive lens, the new trio is anything but – compact and light, they will balance superbly with Alpha full-frame mirrorless bodies. All three lenses – the FE 24mm f/2.8 G, the FE 40mm f/2.5 G and the FE 50mm f/2.5 G – fall inside a 162-174g weight range and use fast and quiet Double Linear motors for autofocus.
