What has kept you motivated?

Brent Stirton says: “I have a three-yearold son and I very much like the idea that he should see what I’ve been able to see, so he’s my strongest motivator. There’s that and, secondly, I’m working and we all need to work. I’ve been very lucky to find something that I care about doing, and I also make a living doing it, so that’s the practical aspect of it.

“I think that if you have children and you’re not thinking about the environment, then you are actively working against your children. That’s a fact – you’ll be gone, but they will still be here. So it’s a question that I would ask every leader: do you have kids? And, if you have kids, what are you thinking? Because you’re not thinking about their future if you’re not thinking about these issues.”
