PROCESS YOUR LENSBALL CAPTURES
Niamh is using Photoshop, but your image editor of choice will offer this functionality
1 Rotate the image
Because the Lensball bends light as it passes through the glass, the view of your subject will be flipped. First, rotate the image (unless you’re feeling creative and want to leave it as is) by going to Image > Image Rotation > 180º. Next, adjust the brightness and contrast, in Image > Adjustments > Brightness/Contrast, or via > Adjustments > Curves.
2 Emphasise the Lensball
The Blur Tool is like the Brush Tool – use the soft round brush so you can subtly edit the parts of the image that will need to be blurred more. You can also edit the hardness: I started at 21%, but you can create a harsher blur by slowly increasing it. It is actually better to be more subtle with this effect, only adding extra blur to areas of finer detail.
