How to shoot ICM
Combine the use of a tripod with intentional camera movement
1 Camera settings
Shoot in Aperture Priority and aim for an exposure of 2-10 seconds, so set ISO to 100 and the aperture to f/11-f/16. Release the shutter and lift the camera and tripod halfway through.
2 Compose and shoot
Compose the image as if it were a ‘standard’ shot, making sure that the horizon is level. Also, attach any filters that are required to control exposure, such as NDs and ND grads.
