Rough up your photos with textures

One way to make your photos look like damaged old prints is to blend textures with them. It’s worth building up your own library of textures to use on your photos. Simply head out with your camera and capture any surface that catches the eye. This is a photo of an old metal baking tray, blended with our portrait using the Overlay Blending Mode, plus a black-and-white layer below to desaturate the portrait.
