Nikkor Z 28mm f/2.8 & 40mm f/2

Pair of full-frame primes to arrive at some point in 2021, says Nikon

Two new compact primes have been revealed in a development announcement, but there isn’t much else to go on. The Z 28mm f/2.8 is being developed as a wide-angle prime lens for everyday shooting, while the Z 40mm f/2 is being designed as a standard prime lens. Both lenses are full-frame optics, but their slim form factors will fit well on the Z 50 APS-C body. Neither lens carries the premium ‘S’ designation, so it’s expected they will both have an affordable price tag.
