Her last outing in Digital Camera revealed how Amy captures her signature horse photos. This time, she turns her talents to an eyecatching creative shoot.

Levitation images never fail to be eye-catching, but they’re easier to create than you think. Set your camera and lens on a tripod as low to the ground as possible. Place your model in the middle of the frame and focus on them using manual focus. Mark the ground where the model was, so they know the spot to return to. Now remove your model from the frame and shoot the scene with no props or models. Next, place your model back in the frame where the floor marker is and get them into the desired position.

To ensure that your subject stands out from the frame, use a location that has a relatively clear background and isn’t too busy.
