PRO ADVICE EDITING YOUR SHOTS
Contrast and Vibrance are the key steps in finessing your abstract zoom photos in post-production
1 As my images were already pretty bright due to the long exposures, I didn’t need to change the Brightness value in Photoshop. Instead, I boosted Contrast to create depth within the image, then focused on the colours.
2 In the Color Balance menu, I made some of the colours more dominant than others, to make them stand out.
3 Next, I went into the Vibrance menu; this is where I spent the most time tweaking values, depending on the particular image and the overall effect I was aiming for, subtly enhancing the shot. As I wasn’t editing a conventional photograph, I was free to be as abstract and colourful as I wanted. Give it a go, experiment and have some fun!
