Use LUTs in profiles

Perhaps the best use for

LUTs in Photoshop is as part of a Profile. Profiles can be applied to your photos using Camera Raw or Lightroom, although you can only create custom Profiles in Camera Raw. Go to the Presets

Panel, then Alt-click the

New Preset icon to open the New Profile dialog.

Use the Color Lookup Table options at the bottom to load in your Cube file (see tip 4). Now you can apply the effect in the Profile Browser, and make use of the Amount slider to control the strength.
