New Fujinon XF primes

The XF 23mm f/1.4 R LM WR and the XF 33mm f/1.4 R LM WR will be released in November

Fujifilm has also unveiled a pair of new prime lenses for its APS-C sensor XF cameras. An updated optic, the Fujinon XF 23mm f/1.4 R LM WR is equivalent to 35mm in full-frame terms and offers fast and silent AF with a linear motor, nine rounded aperture blades and weather resistance. Weighing just 375g, it will go on sale in November, for £819/$899. Sitting alongside the existing XF 35mm f/1.4, the XF 33mm f/1.4 R LM WR offers the same angle of view as a 50mm on a full-frame camera and weighs 360g. Optical constructi­on comprises 15 elements in five groups, and AF is handled by a linear motor. The new lens will cost £699/$799 when it goes on sale in late September.
