Chris’s tips for rock-solid long exposures

-

With a long exposure like this, it is important to make sure your tripod is completely stable. I am lucky to have a very sturdy Vanguard Veo 3+ tripod. Other tips can include hooking your bag to the tripod, creating more weight. Rocks and stones can be used to fix the tripod to the ground more. In my opinion, setting up the tripod should be one of the last steps in identifying a photograph. Walk around the scene and compose the image, then set up the tripod for the perfect stable shot.
