2 Choose your lens

A fast lens with a wide aperture of at least f/4 is a great start; if you have the budget, something with an even wider aperture like f/1.8 is ideal. The wider the aperture is, the more light the lens can collect. Consider a wide-angle lens, something that’s 35mm or wider, so you can capture more of the night sky and the landscape below.
