3 Dial in your settings
Try the following settings as a good base to start your shoot. Using manual focus, set focus to infinity then fine-tune from there until the stars are pin sharp. For better sharpness, choose one to two stops below your widest aperture. Try shooting at ISO 800 or 1,600; if the results are still too dark, dial it up to 3,200. Then choose the shutter speed that’s right for your shot.
