Mask your LUTs
Like any Adjustment Layer, LUTs can be masked so that they work selectively over certain areas of the image. To do this, simply highlight the mask thumbnail on the LUT layer then grab the Brush Tool and start painting with black to hide parts of the effect. Alternatively, press Ctrl/ Cmd/+I to completely hide the LUT effect, then grab the Brush Tool and paint with white to reveal the effect in the areas you want.
