Last of four affordable f/1.8 primes

Joining the Lumix S 85mm f/1.8, Lumix S 50mm f/1.8 and Lumix S 24mm f/1.8, the new Lumix S 35mm f/1.8 is designed for stills and video, but attention has been paid to the needs of gimbal users, who don’t want to have to rebalance their gimbal every time they switch lenses. The S 35mm f/1.8’s optical construction comprises 11 elements in nine groups, with three aspherical lenses and three ED (extra-low dispersion) lenses; “beautiful bokeh” is one of the design aims.
