Beth’s tips and advice
Try to get a different perspective on a location by bringing your camera down to waist level. This allows the scene to be viewed from a different angle than the usual eye-level. When you shoot lower, try to add some foreground to help the photo appear more three-dimensional. If you use a wide aperture, this will help blur out any foreground, and it will assist the viewer in focusing on the main subject.
Also, invest in an ND filter; it will help you shoot with a wide aperture in bright light without overexposing, and will help manage glare and reflections on water or cars.
